With Fishers
computer based side scan system, sonar images are displayed
using the SONAR VIEW software.
This software was specially developed by Fishers for
their side scan systems.
SONAR VIEW is easy to learn and easy to use.
With SONAR VIEW side scan data can be displayed, stored, and
analyzed on a desktop or laptop PC. The software allows the side
scan operator to change the operating parameters at any time
during operation with no loss of data.
Some of the operating parameters that can be controlled
are; color (eight different color schemes are available to
display the sonar image), frequency (100K or 600K), range (5 –
600 meters per side), and amplifier gain. Sonar images can be
viewed in real time while data is simultaneously saved to disk
or the hard drive. In addition to sonar data, other data such as boat speed, GPS
position, time, and date can also be displayed and stored.
The software allows post processing of sonar data and
editing of files.
Small file sections including screen shots can be copied for
emailing.
A sizing tool can be used to show length, width, and
height of a target. An image enhancement tool lets the operator
select various color schemes.
An optional mapping feature shows the
boats travel and area covered on a lat/log grid. This option
makes it easy to scan even large areas without missing any part
of the area to be searched. The map is resizable and can be on
the same screen as the side scan image or the map can be
displayed on a separate computer screen. |
